Best rings under $50
The best rings under $50
Under $50 you should be buying 316L stainless steel, not plated brass and not silver you have to polish. Steel is harder, it does not tarnish, it survives water, and it costs a fraction of precious metal. Every ring below is 316L, waterproof, hypoallergenic and covered by a lifetime warranty, and every one is $38 or less. All of them are unisex, in standard US sizing from 5 to 12 depending on the cut.
The shortlist
CRUSHED — $38
The one most people buy. A fractured, broken-stone texture cut into the metal, on a medium band, US 5 to 12. 4.8 out of 5 from 56 reviews in gold, 4.86 from 50 in silver. Buy this if you want one ring that looks like something. Gold · Silver
CRUSHED V2 — $38
The widest cut in the line. Same texture, far more of it, covering more of the finger. Buy this if the original looked too restrained. US 6 to 11. Gold · Silver
CRUSHED V3 — $38
The slim cut. Lower profile, lighter, narrow enough to wear two or three at once. Buy this if you already wear rings. US 6 to 11. Gold · Silver
CRUSHED SIGNET — $38
A wide flat top carrying the texture. A signet without a crest or a monogram. Buy this if you want the heaviest-reading ring at this price. US 6 to 11. Gold · Silver
SANCTUM — $38
A flat-top band with a fine engraved cross motif and a red zircon at the center. The detail reads close up rather than across a room. US 5 to 12, and order one full size up. Gold · Silver
LUNARA — $28
A cratered, lunar-surface band with small stones set into the hollows. Texture without hard edges. US 5 to 11. Gold · Silver
AXIOM — $28
An open band with a sharp triangular edge and two precision-cut stones set either side. The most geometric ring we make. US 7 to 10. Gold · Silver
FORM — $28
One clean band, smooth all the way round, nothing set in it. Buy this as a first ring, or to wear under a textured one. US 6 to 11. Gold · Silver
What $38 actually buys
It buys 316L stainless steel with 18K gold plating or rhodium plating. It does not buy solid gold, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. For a ring worn every day that trade is the right way round: steel is harder than gold, it does not bend out of round, it does not tarnish, and you can shower, swim and train in it. Plating is a surface and it thins at friction points over years, which is why abnormal peeling or flaking is covered by the lifetime warranty.
What to avoid at this price: anything described only as "alloy" or "gold-filled brass", anything that cannot go in water, and anything sold without measurements on the page.
How to choose between them
- Wide or slim. A wide band makes a statement and fits tighter; a slim band disappears under a cuff and stacks. V2 is the widest we make, V3 the slimmest.
- Plain or textured. FORM is plain. CRUSHED is texture. LUNARA is texture without edges. AXIOM is geometry.
- Flat-top or domed. Flat-top rings such as the SIGNET sit square on the finger and fit tighter than a domed band. Size up. SANCTUM is the exception: it is sized to fit true.
- Gold or silver. Same price either way. See gold vs silver.

FAQ
What is the best ring under $50?
For most people the CRUSHED ring at $38. It is 316L stainless steel with a fractured cut texture, runs US 5 to 12, and holds 4.8 out of 5 from 56 reviews in gold and 4.86 from 50 in silver.
Are these men's or women's rings?
Both. Every Elaré ring is unisex, in standard US sizing from 5 to 12 depending on the cut. The same rings are bought and worn by men and women.
Are cheap stainless steel rings any good?
316L stainless steel is a genuinely good material for a daily ring: harder than gold, corrosion resistant, hypoallergenic and waterproof. The grade matters more than the price. Avoid rings described only as alloy or plated brass.
Will a $38 ring turn my finger green?
Not if it is 316L stainless steel. Green marks come from copper-based alloys. Elaré rings are 316L with 18K gold plating, rhodium plating, or no plating at all.
Can I wear a stainless steel ring in water?
Yes. Shower, swim and train in it. Rinse in fresh water and dry after salt water or a chlorinated pool.
What ring size should I order?
Standard US sizing, and if you are between sizes, size up. Wide bands and flat-top rings fit tighter, so size up for those. SANCTUM is sized to fit true, so order the size you normally wear. The Elaré ring sizer measures US 1 to 17.
Do cheaper rings come with a warranty?
These do. Every Elaré ring carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing and structural defects, including abnormal plating failure, with a free replacement and no return required.
